Warning A few words of warning

Jake is pre-release software. We take the word "beta" pretty seriously (Wikipedia), which means that the current version of Jake is not yet ready for production use by the general public. Even though Jake should work just fine in many situations, we will not take the blame if Jake dies, crashes, burns and kills your computer, operating system and/or you. Unless you're an alpha geek who enjoys living on the edge, you should probably not install and use Jake until we release version 1.0.

After recovering from the major burnout caused by the long and restless weekends spent working towards our initial release, the Jake team is busy making plans for the future of Jake. After a lot of meetings have been held, a lot of decisions made and a lot of coffee drunk, we expect to agree on our general direction for the coming months, architectural changes (if any), where we will focus our efforts on and much more.

We expect a new and more stable release later this summer. Until then, you may download the original preview release that we submitted in March/April.
